		<description>How strange to happen upon this now, as I&#039;m attending Katherine Ellingtons Writer&#039;s Institute in DC. I wholeheartedly agree that we need to be better storytellers, both in our work lives and in our communications with those who are not in medicine.

		<description>I&#039;m honored that you make mention of my tweets as inspiration.  Spending time with Dr. Charon and the Program in Narrative Medicine at Columbia continues to motivate my push to write, tell and read the stories in and beyond the margins of charts.

We can do the work of critical reading (attention), bearing witness to our patients stories also contributing to their context (representation), which can inform practice (affiliation) as healers.</description>
